VERIS Employee Development
Assessments, Challenges, and Tasks for the Team You Already Hired
The same scored assessment engine behind VERIS Assessment, extended past the hiring decision — so a skill test, a problem, or a piece of real work can go to an existing employee instead of a candidate.
“What do you know?”
Knowledge and scenario questions, objectively scored and AI-graded — the same question engine behind VERIS Assessment, aimed at an employee instead of a candidate.
“Can you solve this problem?”
A realistic job-related problem — negotiate a difficult customer, resolve a conflict, recover a delayed project, or, when the role calls for it, write and run real code — scored against a rubric, not just read.
“Can you perform this work?”
A practical, work-shaped exercise with a simple lifecycle: assigned, started, submitted, evaluated, completed.
How it works
One Pipeline: Assign, Complete, Evaluate, Review
Nothing about it is a separate system bolted onto VerisNova — it's the same invite, scoring, and AI-evaluation pipeline that already runs VERIS Assessment, with an employee instead of a candidate on the other end.
- A manager or HR admin creates an Assessment, Challenge, or Task and assigns it to a specific employee — no separate employee login required to complete it
- The employee opens a private, single-use link and completes it — the same coding editor, scoring, and AI evaluation engine already proven on VERIS Assessment
- AI evaluates the submission against the question's rubric first
- A manager reviews the AI evaluation and can add their own score and feedback alongside it — the AI's original evaluation is never overwritten
- Results are visible to the employee, their manager, and authorized HR admins — scoped so a manager sees their own team, not the whole organization by default
Manager review never silently overwrites the AI evaluation — both are kept and shown side by side.
Where this fits
Development, Not Just Hiring
Hire → Assess → Interview handles the hiring decision. Employee Development is the same platform used after someone joins.
Managers and HR admins
Keep an employee roster, assign an Assessment/Challenge/Task, and review results without leaving the same recruiter workspace already used for hiring.
Employees
Open a private link, complete the activity, and see the result once it's reviewed — no separate account to create or manage.
Pair it with VERIS Assessment during hiring, then keep using the same scoring engine afterward.
